You will need a website address for your
website. This is called a domain name and If you do not already own
one or have one in mind
let us know what you would ideally like. Domains are available with
many different suffixes, many of which carry various connotations
relating to both the business type and it's location. The main
domains used in England are .uk and .com. other popular ones (but
usually only used after .uk or .com has been taken are
.org.uk, .biz, .org, .net, .me.uk and .info. We would only
advise these of these if a suitable .co.uk or .com
domain cannot be found as the main two give a positive indication of
location and maturity in the case of .uk and a global
presence in the case of .com (if you can secure both domains
that is ideal!). If your chosen domain is not available then we
will endeavour to come up with suitable alternatives. Please note
that the URL does not have to have much relevance to search engines
results and a catchy or easily remembered name is much more
important than one that reflects your business name. Websites in the

We will ask you who your target audience is
and how you
envisage them finding you. Would it be primarily from search engines
or perhaps from your website address on company stationary, vans, advertising etc.
The answers to this will assist us in designing your website for the
appropriate audience both in a visual and textual context.

Having established your domain name and market we will request that you provide us with as much textual content
as possible along with business details that you wish to be included
along with pictures and/or logos you may have. We will, of course evaluate all
you send and advise any changes that may be beneficial as well as
optimising any graphics for speedy downloading on your website. Both
text and images/logos are preferably conveyable to us by electronic means
although we are happy to process hand written notes or text (an
additional charge may apply for large amounts of typing that may be
required). Text
is best emailed to us using either microsoft word or ideally windows
notepad format. Images can be scanned if required but again best sent as
.jpg, .tiff, .gif or even as bitmap files.

All our designs are unique and not from
templates (unless requested)and we would like you try to describe the appearance and feel
or style that
you wish to convey on your website along with some idea of the
structure (i.e. number of pages and menus). Maybe even refer us to
some websites you have seen and give us those as examples of styles
you like.
